Olives are also an essential item in every Palestinian meal. The olive is a symbol of the Palestiniansā€™ unwavering connection to their land.

Kufic script is one of the oldest Arabic script styles, originating in Kufa, Iraq in the 12th century. It was often used to write copies of the Quā€™ran. The Square Kufic style is more decorative and has been used widely in architecture.

can't say enough good things about this shop. I haven't cross stitched before and needed help deciding on a kit and the owner was so friendly and helpful. The package comes all beautiful done up, it felt like opening up a gift. Everything is high quality and intentional. I loved learning from the leaflets about the historical and cultural significance behind Tatreez before embarking on the patterns.

The instructions are clear and concise. I was worried i'd be intimidated but the whole kit is so well thought out. I feel excited and peaceful approaching a new craft!

This tatreez kit is so much fun! Iā€™ve never done cross stitch or embroidery but the step by step guide was super easy to follow. Once I started, I didnā€™t want to stop! The kit comes with plenty of extra string and you can reuse the hoop, needle, and guide, so I will be redoing this tatreez design to gift it to family members (along with some of the stickers). I cannot recommend this kit enough!
